I think fisting might be the most commonly used word on that page.

I think I want to make these for dinner tomorrow!

rachel what do you think is the best way to cook kale? (in a plain-ish, by itself way) the best i have come up with is simmering it and then letting the water cook off. i am looking for tenderness in my greens!

i am way into sauteeing it over low heat with a ton of garlic and a little oil/butter/margarine. it will take a while, but it will be delicious. also, i know they’re pretentious, but kale chips are kind of delicious? i don’t have a recipe to link you to but if you just coat them with olive oil + salt + maybe garlic salt + maybe TAHINI and put them in a 300 degree oven for like 15 or 20 minutes, they are so good. sosogood.

do you use a bread maker when you make your bread?

Anonymous

no, i have never used one ever, i like using counters and bowls and my kitchenaid stand mixer and also hands

I made banana and nutella bread it was delicious.
I used to make bread but then i lost my amazing recipe that i was given on my gap yah and i don't like the others I've made. What's your fave kind to bake? Thanks.

possibly my fave is sourdough (i use this recipe: http://www.wildyeastblog.com/2007/07/08/my-new-favorite-sourdough/ ) but i like experimenting with different kinds (spelt, whole wheat, etc). and i like to have at least one loaf of basic whole wheat sandwich bread around. sometimes i make multigrain bread (i like rose levy berenbaum’s), and sometimes i get TOTALLY CRAZY and make bagels or pita or something.

Are you Rachel? What is your favorite legume? Also, how do I get people to stop looking at me like I have 5 eyes growing on my neck when I say I'm a vegetarian? It's not a big deal guys!

1. yes

2. chickpeas i think, then lentils after that?

3. i find i have had slightly more success with “i don’t eat meat” than “i’m a vegetarian,” possibly because it sounds less like a religion/sexual orientation

I'm trying to remember the name of those neat divided food containers. I think you tweeted about them once saying you were buying some on eBay. Do you know what I'm talking about?

bento bento bento! i own three now and have never looked back

do you have submission guidelines or like a 'don't this you food lovin sillypants people' page? I have posted recipes to a couple of sites before but should I just resubmit or give a link? I like waffles.

i tried to post submission guidelines but this theme is not super conducive to doing so. i think good things to submit are: recipes and/or photos you’ve made, recipes you wanna try, and/or aspirational food photos/blog posts. links are fine. what do you think? sound good? what’s your favorite kind of waffle

Is it OK to suggest something we think you might like in addition to asking questions?

Green Lentil Soup with Swiss Chard and Lemon http://bit.ly/ig1NXY

I know you like your legumes so when I saw this I thought of you. It's vegan and I liked the idea of having roasted potatoes either on the side or in the soup.
